When it was announced that Telltale's titles were coming back last year, LCG Entertainment admitted that it had only purchased "some" of the original studio's back catalog. Many of them are probably missing due to licensing agreements, including Tales From the Borderlands, Minecraft: Story Mode, Game of Thrones, Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series, the Sam & Max series, and Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People. There are still a number of other Telltale games that are still missing in action though. The sole exception is Telltale's The Walking Dead, which is now published by The Walking Dead brand owner Skybound Entertainment. Like all of the other returning games, Tales of Monkey Island returned with LCG Entertainment as the developer and Athlon Games as the publisher. Until July 9, folks can pick up the game for 75 percent off, at a clean $3.74. Now it seems that Tales of Monkey Island is the latest Telltale game to return from the dead. An entire library of beloved adventure games, closed off to new players.īatman: The Telltale Series, Batman: The Enemy Within, The Wolf Among Us, and Telltale's The Walking Dead have all returned to various storefronts like Steam, alongside some launches on the Epic Games Store. If you didn't have the games purchased already, there was no way to pick up any of Telltale's titles.
